Introducing Wrathos Visionaries: Street Team and ARCs
Interested in helping promote the vision behind my multiverse of feminine rage and receiving ARCs, beta reading opportunities, or more?
Last week I announced the release date of “For Blood and Flame”, and so many of you wanted to know when I would be doing ARCs or Advanced Reviewer Copies.
In today’s The Weekly Wrath, I will break down my street team and how you can get your hands on not only “For Blood and Flame” but all future ARCs.
One thing before we jump in, I just want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to anyone who picked up a free copy of “For Mist and Tar” or helped me promote it this past weekend. Over 13,000 free copies were grabbed!
I made an Instagram post all about it, but I know so many of you from my newsletter really helped me out by reposting and resharing my videos on both TikTok and Instagram. THANK YOU!!
I am honestly a bit overwhelmed thinking about 13,000 people reading my book, but I am so incredibly grateful. I can only hope this means the launch of “For Blood and Flame” will be even bigger!
If you missed your chance to grab “For Mist and Tar” for free, know that it’s always available in Kindle Unlimited for free. I hope to do another completely free deal shortly before “For Blood and Flame” releases, so as always make sure you’re subscribed.
How to Become a Visionary and Aid the Launch of All Wrathos Books
If you’re new to the concept of a street team, then here’s a quick break down:
A street team is a collective of volunteers who join forces to champion an author and their book. Driven by their passion for the author's work or vision, these individuals actively strive to promote it to a wide audience.
This is why I chose to call my street team Visionaries, because you believe in what I’m trying to create — Wrathos, a multiverse of feminine rage — and want to help build the future of Wrathos Books.
Wrathos Visionaries are:
Readers who have read one or more of my books and highly enjoyed them
Readers who are active on Instagram and/or TikTok and cultivate accounts targeted toward Bookstagram / BookTok (a huge following is not necessary, as long as your content is geared toward books)
Readers who love the idea of aiding the growth of Wrathos Books overtime
Readers who will help with fun reveals, such as (but not limited to) cover reveals, teaser trailers, future release date and title announcements, by posting on social media
Readers who want to receive advanced copies of my books (ARCs) to review and help boost online or be part of beta reading opportunities
If this sounds like you and an opportunity you want to be part of, then please subscribe to this subsection of my main newsletter. All Wrathos Visionaries communications will then be sent to you, including future applications for ARCs.
Update 1/23/24: All Wrathos Books Subscribers are now automatically added as a Visionary.
The process was honestly just too convoluted to get everyone signed up, so I have it set to auto add you to Visionaries when you subscribe in general. It’s much easier, once your added, to unsubscribe to Visionaries if you wish to not receive those emails! So, if you have no interest in being a Visionary, then simply follow the steps below, but instead of toggling Visionaries on, you can toggle it off.
This is separate to the main newsletter. If you match the criteria above, you will need to turn on Wrathos Visionaries in your personal Substack settings.

What is an ARC, and Am I Eligible?
An ARC is an Advanced Reviewer Copy of a book. These copies are sent around 3 to 4 weeks prior to a book’s publication date. The goal for ARCs is to have readers finish the upcoming book and prepare a review to be posted within the first week of release.
Reviews left during the very first week of a book’s publication on sites like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and GoodReads help boost the book in those sites’ algorithms. It will begin to recommend the book to more readers. That’s why the more reviews left that first week, the better.
ARC Expectations For Wrathos Books
While reviews are never mandatory, it’s important to note applying for an ARC with no intention of leaving a review is highly detrimental to my career as a small, indie author.
I do participate in free eBook deals throughout the year. So, if you’re just looking to get a free copy, then please be sure you’re subscribed so you can grab one on the next free day! Otherwise, please purchase the book at the time of release.
The biggest restriction with my ARCs is you must be an active Visionary. So, as long as you hit the above criteria for my street team, you will also be eligible for any and all ARCs.
With each book I will have an allotted amount of ARCs to send out. It’s entirely possible there are more Visionaries than there are ARCs. This is why I give priority to the most active Visionaries. Otherwise, ARCs will be first come, first serve.
ARCs, until further notice, will be digital and sent via BookFunnel. My hope is to be able to do physical ARCs and PR boxes starting in 2025!
Can I Be a Visionary Without Participating in ARCs?
Absolutely! If you have no interest in receiving an ARC, you can still be a Visionary and participate in the plethora of opportunities I’m building. I will be looking for beta readers and sensitivity readers VERY soon for FBAF.
When Will ARC Applications Open: “For Blood and Flame”?
I send ARCs at a minimum of three weeks in advance. FBAF is around 140,000 words (Book one, For Mist and Tar, was around 113,000 to help you put that in perspective), and it’s a very dark, emotional read. My hope is to give you even longer to complete the full read in time for the release date, but it will ultimately come down to this final stage of revision and feedback from beta/sensitivity readers.
At the latest, applications will open on March 19th, 2024 for ARCs to be sent on April 16th, 2024. These details and more will be relayed once we get closer to the pub date to anyone with Visionary status (i.e. turn on that setting!)
Have questions?
First, if you are unable to access an account page, it may be because you don’t have a Substack account. It’s free to create one! I apologize in advance if going into your personal settings is a bit of a hassle. Unfortunately, this is the only way Substack allows me to have a subsection of my newsletter that doesn’t require ALL subscribers to sign up. My hope is this is a feature they make a lot easier in the future!
BUT — If you have questions regarding Visionaries, feel free to drop them below on this post. Otherwise, I’m so excited to kick this off the ground, and I hope you are, too!
