Hello my fellow fantasy reader. So, how are we feeling? You doin’ okay? I know that ending was rough to say the least. We should definitely talk about it. Pick one of these questions to answer or ask your own to others in the chat:
What is your opinion and/or theories on Kadir’s part in the ending?
What are you most anticipating in the sequel, “For Blood and Flame”?
Who was your favorite character and why?
What was your favorite quote?
Do you have a scene that really resonated with you?
Alright, discuss. I may jump in occasionally to help facilitate the conversation or answer any questions, but otherwise, I want this to be a safe place for you to talk with other readers!
Also, did you know there’s an Alchemight Playlist? Yessssssss. If you’re looking for some epic ambience, or if maybe you’re doing a re-read before the release of For Blood and Flame, you can click here to add the playlist on Spotify.
PLAYLIST BREAKDOWN:
“Summon the Flame” ~ listened to while writing the ending of FMAT and the beginning pieces of FBAF.
“Farewell to Memory” ~ inspired me while developing Kadir’s backstory in FBAF.
“Midnights Call” ~ listened to primarily when characters all come together, make plans, & then execute them.
“Arcanine” ~ in the background of the romantic scenes, slow and tragic and beautiful.
“Atonement” ~ this is an Eledar one, listened to primarily while working on his chapters.
“Tempus” ~ this one is actually overarching of my entire multiverse. Anytime I listen to it, I just imagine HBO opening credits with all the different realms and species, including Alchemight
“Summit” ~ a heavy Kadir one; feels dark and chaotic
“Sacrifice” ~ no explanation, just pain
“Bound By Purpose” ~ this one I listened to for both Vellene and Eledar; I feel like it just embodies their tribulations well.
“Don’t Forget” ~ listened to when writing Vellene and Aurora scenes
All other tracks have been exclusively added for FBAF, so I won’t be providing explanations just because spoilers. But speaking of For Blood and Flame…
I’m using GoodReads adds to gauge interest in the sequel. So, if you want it, definitely add it!
Did you get a chance to leave a written review? If you have a couple minutes, even for just a sentence or two, I would greatly appreciate it! While I don’t read my reviews to keep your reading space unbiased and honest, I do keep an eye on how many reviews have been left. Why? Amazon boosts my book more as more reviews are left! So if you’re looking for a free way to support me and my books, leaving a written review directed toward other readers is a phenomenal way to do so.
What is your opinion and/or theories on Kadir’s part in the ending? I think Kadir had more in influence on things as he seems very secretive and then the whole thing with Moghell. But I think motives changed when he and Vallene mated? Shared chemight?
What are you most anticipating in the sequel, “For Blood and Flame”? Eledar and Vallene’s reuniting.
Who was your favorite character and why? Eledar. He’s noble to the cause to a fault even when he’s misguided to get to the next steps in revenge. He speaks to me.
What was your favorite quote? I don’t know off the top of my head.
Do you have a scene that really resonated with you? When Vallene starts coming into the fierce woman she is.
