To those who understand a woman's silence is her fury...
...and a fictional character's death is as painful as reality, but you're not only willing to endure both Fury and Death - You came here searching for them. Let us burn together.
Lastly, to the pieces of myself left between the pages, may you rest in peace.
The end is coming.

On May 14th, For Blood and Flame will be automatically delivered to every reader who preorders at the discounted eBook price of $7.99.
For Blood and Flame is the grimdark, epic conclusion to my Alchemight Duology, and it’s the 5th book in Wrathos, my multiverse of feminine rage.
If you’re new around here, I highly recommend giving this quick start guide a read, which includes the recommended reading order.
That said, I’ve had several readers ask if the Fates of Mirror trilogy is a necessary read prior to For Blood and Flame.
Do I Need to Read Veil of Fate, Heir of Fate, and Wars of Fate before For Blood and Flame?
There will be one unnamed cameo, as in a character who appears from the Fates of Mirror trilogy but who won’t disrupt the plot in a monumental way.
There will be one named Fates of Mirror cameo, but if you don’t know who they are, you would be able to go directly into the trilogy AFTER reading For Blood and Flame to find out. You just might not get those nice little holy-shit chills when they appear.
The BIGGEST part of my Fates of Mirror trilogy that may put you at a detriment if you don’t read it prior to For Blood and Flame is the lore in Wars of Fate surrounding the Guardians.
So, do you need to read the trilogy? I’m going to let you make the executive decision. If you’re okay with Guardian lore being a little blurry and not knowing the cameos, then I think you’re good. If you’re hoping for the full ‘multiverse experience’, then I would personally say read the trilogy.
Honestly, it’s a fun ride, and it’s not really meant to be anything more than a fun ride. It’s the kind of trilogy you can binge like you would trashy TV, and I mean that in an endearing, the best of fun, and loveable way.
Fates of Mirror (FOM) is the exact opposite of Alchemight. FOM is a dark fantasy romance trilogy that’s trope-focused. It’s an action-driven plot where the romance is at the forefront. So don’t go into it expecting the same level of worldbuilding as For Mist and Tar.
Unlike Alchemight, FOM also has on-page spice / sex scenes. So just be aware of that, if that’s not your thing. I even published this bonus spice scene that picks up in between the last chapter of Wars of Fate and its epilogue.
I did this on purpose so you (and myself) could have a ‘break’. Something more fun and light-hearted in between the agonizing and tragic reads For Mist and Tar and For Blood and Flame are, which is why I sandwich FOM between the two books in the reading order.
That’s not to say FOM doesn’t have my classic sense of dread, flawed characters, or a healthy dose of tragedy. It does. Just not at the capacity you’ll find in Alchemight.
That said, if there is a want for the lore of the Guardians from Wars of Fate to be distilled in a recap post here on Wrathos Books for those who don’t have interest in FOM or if you just want a refresher, then I will do so for paid subscribers (because my books are in Kindle Unlimited, it will have to be behind a pay-gate unfortunately due to their exclusivity contract).
Thank you for reading
Since November, the amount of you here has grown immensely, and I genuinely could not be more grateful. I know the last couple of weeks have been like crickets from me (usually I slide into your inbox at least once a week on Sundays with the weekly newsletter, The Weekly Wrath, which is the bad bitch you’re reading right now).
I’ve been in my writing cave, trying to finalize For Blood and Flame to a point where I don’t have to touch it again. We are getting there. My deadline is the end of March, so one week to go!
